About the Artist

My name is Lyric. I’m a visual artist based in Florida who has found a passion for a style I’m calling maximalist cartoonism. I graduated from the University of Florida in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a specialization in design. That just means I’m an expert at turning stories into art.

Some principle themes of my work include color and detail. With these tools, I’m able to capture unique glimpses into ordinary people’s everyday lives by depicting them surrounded by their favorite people, pets, belongings, memories and anything else they want. I like to create these pieces in a care-free, whimsical style that captures the vibrant, fun and humorous side of humanity and doesn’t take itself too seriously.
